The DDE auction facility located in the high security second level of Almas Tower, has 41 state of the art viewing stations with specially designed lighting and high-resolution cameras. Designed principally for rough and polished diamonds, changes have been made to the DDE windows to enable trade of coloured gemstones.

The Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE), a subsidiary of DMCC, the world’s flagship Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise, announced today the successful completion of three rough and polished diamond tenders hosted between 16 and 23 July 2019. Over 200 companies convened in Almas Tower to analyse and value the stones with the latest industry tools, technology and software.

DMCC – and the Department of Economic Development (DED), the Government of Dubai entity that regulates the economic activity of all onshore companies, have signed a strategic agreement to collaborate on the licensing of companies in Dubai allowing them to operate within the Free Zone and onshore. The partnership aims to further facilitate trade and boost economic activity in the emirate.
